The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information about the capability and availability of acquiring or hiring for service, commercial, and/or university-affiliated vessels to provide support to NOAA's charting and surveying, and ocean exploration programs. NOAA is soliciting responses for chartering services, ship(s) for lease or purchase, or ship lease with crew provided by the respondent. This information may be used to evaluate means of mitigating possible gaps in capability due to anticipated future retirement of existing NOAA ships as they reach the end of their useful service life. NOAA requests respondents describe their ability to fulfill the specified mission activities. Another purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding:(1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources;(2) whether you are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and(3) your size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. The NAICS for this proposed acquisition is 532411 Commercial Air, Rail, and Water Transportation Equipment Rental and Leasing. The Small Business Size Standard is $32.5M.
