The Florida Department of Health-Bureau of Emergency Medical Oversight, Trauma Section has the need to purchase reporting data services to establish a statewide trauma system collaborative to act as a catalyst for improvements in the process and outcomes of the provision of trauma care in an inclusive trauma system outlined in F.S 395.40 (6). The Department of Health supports a statewide trauma collaborative to allow for: data

sharing, discuss best practice ideas, identify quality improvement opportunities and initiatives for measured results. The exchange of ideas and problem solving within collaborative setting allows designated trauma centers to improve trauma outcomes.
In accordance with 60A 1.045 F.A.C. and 395.401(2), Florida Statues, the Bureau of Emergency Medical Oversight, Trauma Section requests authorization to purchase, as single source, proprietary data reports services from the American College of Surgeons.
