Influenza (flu) vaccination is more important than ever this flu season given the expected cocirculation of COVID19 and flu viruses. Flu vaccination coverage is especially inadequate for certain racial and ethnic groups, who are also disproportionately affected by COVID19, at risk for serious illness from COVID-9, and/or at high risk for flu infection.

1.2 Due to the COVID19 pandemic, the Board of Health was provided supplemental funding for flu prevention. Additional funding is relevant to current CDC REACH grant recipients that work to address health disparities at the community level.

2.0 PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Specific objectives are to increase awareness of:

• Flu vaccine safety and efficacy
