The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 on behalf of Richmond VA Health Care Center is conducting a market research sources sought notice. The sources sought will help determine the availability of qualified Businesses, capable of providing, Supplies and installing the Emprint HP system brand name or equal must meet the following requirements: Functions to be performed. Ablation system that uses microwave energy to generate heat to kill and shrink cancerous tumor cells in various organs like kidneys, liver, and lungs. By achieving large ablation volumes with predictable margins, technology can help reduce the likelihood of local tumor recurrence. System will allow physicians to remove non-resectable liver tumors in patients and keep more of their healthy parenchyma. Performance required. Must produce wattage of up to 150 watts to have the

capacity to ablate large tumors using only one antenna probe. The ablation zone needs to be consistent, predictable, and spherical, following the typical growth pattern of hepatic tumors. Must be able to create small and large ablation zones from one to five centimeters in diameter. System needs to be water-cooled, controlled by a pump, cooling the probes during the ablation process. Essential physical characteristics; Dimensions (if applicable). System needs to be compatible with current antennas stocked in the facility. The cart and attached generator must be a maximum of 40 tall by 20 wide.
