Laser Marking System

302nd Maintenance Group (302 MXG)  requires a compact, easily transportable laser marking system for use in multiple locations within the Group.  The laser marking system will be used to mark or engrave tools and equipment. The laser marking system offers improved legibility on smaller marking areas and improves tool inventory and control. This unit will mark a wider variety of materials safely and effectively, reducing the need to use less efficient marking methods. Such methods include: markers which fade, smear, and wipe off, and expensive-label-maker tape, which can lose adhesion and potentially become FOD, and engraving which is difficult to read.
