SOLE SOURCE NOTICE OF INTENT: ITRON, INC.The Western Area Power Administration, Headquarters, intends to acquire on a Single Source basis Itron Software Product License and Maintenance Support from Itron, Inc. of Liberty Lake, WA, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Simplified Acquisitions.Itron shall provide software version updates, upgrades, support services, and other maintenance and support for all Itron software products currently installed at WAPA. Itron owns all the proprietary software source code rights for the Itron meter data management systems. As the developer/manufacturer of the software, no other source is available to meet the needs of WAPA for this requirement.The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS/QUOTES. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement in response to this requirement, which shall be considered by the Agency.  Capability statements must be received no later than the due date stated on this notice and shall include documentation on ability to satisfy the Government’s requirements.
