Removal of existing Halon fire suppression system and Design, Install, and test a suitable replacement Compressed CO2 system.GENERAL1) The specification details the requirements for an engineered high pressure carbon dioxide (CO2) fire suppression system. These requirements must be followed in order to produce a safe and effective fire protection and suppression system.2) All materials and equipment shall be new and unused. Recycled products shall not be acceptable.B. General Description1) The high pressure CO2 suppression system shall be a Local Application System for surface fires inside the control room electrical cabinets and Local Application System for each of the onboard generators.2) The system hardware shall consist of one or more cylinders filled with carbon dioxide at its own nominal vapor pressure of 850 psig at 70°F (58 bar gauge at 21°C) and other related equipment.
