Houston Ranger Station Drainage Project This project is a total small business set aside under NAICS code 237310, size standard $45MProject magnatude is between $15,000 and $30,000. Project is located near Houston, MO DESCRIPTION OF WORK Scope:Project consists of removing portions of concrete approach and asphalt parking lot paving as necessary to construct new concrete waterway and trench drains along the southern and eastern sides of the Houston Ranger District Maintenance Shed and parking lot. All areas of removal will be clearly marked by COR. (Contractor is responsible for calling dig rite and utility location if any.) The work shall include all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the project in full per the plans and specifications including but not limited to: saw cutting, removal and disposal of asphalt and concrete pavements; excavation, loading, hauling, and disposing of unclassified material; Subgrade preparation, compaction, and placement of 4” of Type 5
base for the waterway; Forming, placing reinforcing and dowels, pouring jointing and finishing 8” thick concrete waterway; trenching, placing geotextile and aggregate drainage materials and appurtenances for trench drains. All material shall conform to FP-14 specifications. No material testing will be completed by contractor, any necessary material testing will be performed by Forest Service if needed. Any disturbed areas of soil shall be regraded and seed/straw placed. Notes:Work shall be completed within a 30 calendar day time frame. The Forest service is unaware of any utilities in work area, except a water hydrant line at far end of building. Temporary traffic control must include the marking of any hazards. This may include construction fence, cones, barricades, or safety devices so that vehicles or pedestrians are made aware of any hazards. A safe walkway for pedestrians must be provided to and from the front door of the warehouse at all times. Parking lot and construction area will be free of any vehicles and traffic during the 30-day construction period.
