Description: VA Jamaica Plain Campus, MA is seeking to purchase 29 Penco Heavy Duty Single Tier Lockers, 2 Penco Hardwood Locker Bench and 2 Plate Glaa Mirror Vertical equivalent. Project Location: VA Jamaica Plain Healthcare System, 150 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130 Solicitation Type- Number: Request for Quotes (RFQ)- 36C21422Q0385. l .e. Set Aside: This solicitation is issued as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set aside. Applicable NAICS code: 337124, Metal Household Furniture Manufacturing. Small Business Size Standard: 750 employees Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price  INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Project includes new locker rooms for men and women on the first floor of VA Jamaica Plain. The
lockers, mirrors and benches will complete the rooms for the police. This equipment needs to come in during construction to be installed by the contractors. The dates of construction are from February to August of 2022. This addition provides a new locker room for the women and more lockers for the men along with two security rooms. 1.1 BACKGROUND The VA Jamaica Plain Healthcare System id preparing a renovation project for the Police locker room and support space. Construction has already begun, and projected completion of the project is slated for August of 2022. SCOPE 29 LOCKERS 2 MIRRORS 2 BENCHES These are to be delivered to: Guillermo Socorro (Guillermo.Socorro@va.gov) 150 South Huntington Ave. Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 The timeframe for delivery receipt shall be no later than 10 weeks following award of contract, with coordination of specific dates mutually agreed upon by the VA Boston Healthcare System, Jamaica Plain campus, and the selected contractor. Awarded Contractor to deliver Monday through Friday during regular operation hours between 6:00am and 3:00pm. Delivery will be at the warehouse off Heath St. 1.3 OBJECTIVES The objective is to secure the acquisition of the equipment described below from a qualified vendor who has all means necessary to deliver the equipment of the type described, in a single delivery, within the stated period of performance and at a fair and reasonable cost to federal government. 2.0 REQUIREMENTS 2.1 TASKS Confirm, within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt of contract award, that the vendor can deliver the equipment to the site, Guillermo Socorro (Guillermo.Socorro@va.gov) 150 South Huntington Ave. Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 within 10 weeks following of date of contract award. Vendor to provide O&M manual including warranty, care, and manufacturer contact information to COR at completion of project. VA to provide digital format for O&M manual. · Freight all furniture in an environmentally responsible manner, i.e. blanket wrapped or equal, when available. · Furniture delivery not to interfere or disturb other tenants in the building or the operation of the facility. The contractor will coordinate the work of the project with the COR and building manager. · Upon delivery of goods, Contractor shall contact building manager for exact parking spots for installation use. · Repair or replace damaged products at the discretion of COR. · The contractor must plan and conduct their activities in an environmentally, economically, and fiscally sound, integrated, continuously improving, efficient, sustainable, manner. The contractor shall make product and material acquisitions using EPA s Environmentally Preferable Purchasing guidance (http://www.epa.gov/epp/index.htm) and incorporate the use of environmentally preferable products using EPA s Final Guidance on Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (http://www.epa.gov/epp/pubs/guidance/finalguidance.htm). The contractor shall also use pollution prevention strategies, and appropriately manage the waste streams associated with their activities (e.g. waste minimization, waste material recycling, etc.) · Final layout to be determined by COR/Interior Designer · Contractor will be responsible for containing any rubbish/waste generated by the work force or material delivery at the end of the day. 3.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY 4.0 SECURITY REQUIREMENTS The VA Medical Center is a federal facility. No admittance shall be allowed without prior arrangement through the Veterans Construction Team. The vendor must contact the COR, at least twenty-four (24) hours before delivery of materials so that arrangements for access to the facility can be made.   All offers are to be received before April 15, 2022 @ 4:00PM EST and sent to ralf.pietzsch@va.gov.
