Solicitation Number: W9123822B0005AMERICAN RIVER COMMON FEATURES, 2016 Sacramento Weir Widening Project – REVERSE INDUSTRY DAYSMonday, January 24 through Friday, January 28 January 2022.You are invited to request a One (1) Hour meeting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, between the hours of 0900 – 1700 PST to discuss this project. Interested contractors can request a time slot by contacting Mr. Sean McNeil at sean.t.mcneil@usace.army.mil. Contractors are required to submit an itinerary, fully describing all items of discussion.The Government is interested in soliciting reverse industry day interest. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. UNSOLICITED PROPOSALS OR OFFERS OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE.Project Description:        The purpose of the Sacramento Weir Widening
project ($100M - $250M) is to reduce the water surface elevation in the Sacramento River and allow more water to flow into the Yolo Bypass system.  The Sacramento Weir Widening project includes construction of the following major features:1,437-foot-long passive weir2,500 foot-long North Levee Setback1,515 foot-long Old River Road Bridge which includes approximately 15,000 length feet of prestressed-precast bridge girders1,635-foot-long Realignment of Old River Road and 2,445-foot-long realignment of County Road 1262,135-foot-long Railroad Embankment Removal, demolition of 2,880-foot-long existing Sacramento River Right Bank Levee, and demolition of 2,500-foot-long existing leveeFish Passage Control Structure, including hybrid technical fishway (420 foot-long concrete-lined), fish passage channel structure (200 foot-long concrete-lined), Two 16-foot-wide flow control gates, and associated electrical, instrumentation, and automation; fishway exit (rock-line - 230 foot-long); stilling basin drain; modifications to the stilling basin of the existing weir; 1,600 foot-long rock-lined Existing Stilling Basin Drain Channel; and 8,500 foot-long earthen Bypass Transport ChannelThe Sacramento Weir Widening project includes the following quantities, some of which are noted in the major project features above.Approximately 400,000 CY of levee embankment fill from on-site borrow sourcesApproximately 38,000 cubic yards of structural concreteApproximately 1,500 each, 20-inch concrete filled steel pipe piles totaling over 100,000 vertical feet supporting the fish passage concrete features and weirErosion Protection in various locations including approximately 35,000 tons of rock slope protection, approximately 130,000 square-feet concrete slope protection, and approximately 90,000 cubic yards of tied concrete block matApproximately 1,000,000 CY of excavation throughout the projectReverse Industry Day Overview:The purpose of this meeting is to encourage participation in the Sacramento Weir Widening Construction Project.  Our goal is to receive industry feedback for all aspects of the project.  The Sacramento Weir Widening Project Manager, Technical Lead, Discipline Design Leads, Environmental Leads and Contracting Officers will be available to discuss and/or answer questions related to the project, which will be issued through a solicitation available for download on the Federal Business Opportunity website at www.SAM.Gov.In accordance with FAR Part 19, set-aside programs will be considered, but large businesses are also encouraged to attend. Bonding will also be required for this contract.
