GENERAL INFORMATION About Juneau : Located in the panhandle of Southeastern Alaska, on the traditional land of the Tlingit people, the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ or City) consists of 3,250 square miles and is only accessible by air or sea. Juneau is Alaska’s capital and has a population of approximately 31,000 people. The Juneau area is a temperate rainforest and receives around 92 inches of annual precipitation. Intent : The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ or City) is requesting sealed proposals from highly qualified Consultants to furnish comprehensive insurance brokerage and consultation services with regard to commercial property and casualty insurance for the City and Borough of Juneau Human Resources & Risk Management Departments. It is the intent of CBJ to enter into a term contract with the successful proposer. Minimum Qualifications : CBJ is seeking Consultants with the following minimum qualifications. A broker/consultant who is licensed to provide services in Alaska. Based in North America and available to provide services and customer support during CBJ work hours typically a minimum of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, AKS. In addition, it is desirable for Consultants to have the capacity for emergency or on-call services when, or if needed. Documented successful experience with similarly sized organizations providing similar insurance brokerage and consultation services as specified in the Scope of Services with a preference for those that have experience with municipalities, or governmental agencies. Documented experience that demonstrates capability and capacity to provide comprehensive and goal-centric insurance brokerage and consultation services that remain within proposed budget as specified for organizations of similar-sized cities and/or governmental organizations.
