SummaryThe Ocotillo Water Reclamation Facility (OWRF), located at 3333 S. Old Price Road, has a current capacity to treat up to 18 MGD of effluent. Recently it has been determined that the existing equipment located at the OWRF Influent Pump Station (IPS) Odor Control System (OCS) has not been performing adequately to handle the daily spikes. The existing IPS OCS is a bio-trickling filter followed by carbon adsorber. Due to the underperformance of the bio-trickling filter, the carbon material is requiring replacement at a higher rate than anticipated and incurring higher operational costs. Replacement of the existing bio-trickling filter is required to meet existing criteria for odor removal and reduce media replacement rates. Examples of the improvements include, but

are not limited to, a new chemical scrubber and carbon adsorber to the OWRF IPS OCS, a chemical storage facility, site work and yard piping, grading, drainage, and paving, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and maintenance of plant operations.
