Manufacturer: SimX(Government intends to award a Sole Source to SimX - any offerors must provide verifiable/existing capabiltiies to the following requirement/salient characteristics)Item Description: Medical Virtual Reality TrainerRequirements:1. Virtual reality trainer/software provides custom-built cases of high risk medical scenarios that current PJs/IDMTs encounter and align critical actions with unique treatment protocols. The system virtually recreates standard operational equipment, medical devices, and rucks/roll-bags, within the tactical scenarios thus allowing the user to "train how we fight." and ensure continuity of training. The system allows the user to continuously reinforce medical protocols and TTPs specific to our organization. 2. Converts unclassified After Action Reports (AARs) and Complete Mission Reports (CMRs) into VR cases, which can then be disseminated across a networked training domain to enhance learning/training for the entire Special Tactics
Enterprise. PJ and IDMTs are able to immediately train on cases/scenarios from situations that current deployed PJ/IDMT's encounter ensuring that the situations are properly trained for on the next deployment rotation.3. Product allows PJs/IDMTs in separate geographic areas to train together simultaneously in the same VR case. This will enhance sharing of information, development of TTPs, networking/team building, and will also allow for a unified training methodology that is reinforced from initial training on through operational sustainment training.4. Virtual reality trainer provides the opportunity for objective feedback on performance, which is essential to continued advancement of medical skills. The cases are purposefully built to highlight deviations in medical protocol through an algorithmic decision tree. This unique ability to provide feedback enhances the quality and effectiveness of the training experience and allows for longitudinal tracking of performance over time.Additional Salient Characteristics:CURRENTLY available on the commercial marketFully immersive – integrated with goggles (visual/auditory)Provision of tactile feedback – eg. pulse checksAbility to move within a 3-D virtual spaceTeam training for up to 4 individuals within the same spaceNetworked system – capability for multiple users to train remotely within the same virtual spaceCustom case development based on desired learning objectives and specific medical protocolsPatients of any age, ethnicity, or demographicOther virtual family members or health care providersED, OR, Outdoor or other custom environmentsInteractive tools such as Stethoscope, Ultrasound, Syringe, POC labs, Gloves, Gown, monitors, imaging, pulses, IVs, etcUnique patient animations including but not limited to talking, hand gestures, sitting up, laying down, chest pain, abdominal pain, heavy breathing, neurologic exams, etcVirtual equipment/medications based on real-world materials utilized by unit PJs/IDMTsIntegrated evaluation tools to assess performance during scenario and provide objective feedback to trainees.Performance report generation with exportable dataAbility to record case execution for subsequent review and feedback to traineesVR System is portableWireless connectivity VR HardwareOculus Quest VR systems including gaming computers (10), headset (20), and all necessary accessories.Carrying CasesManufacturer warranty with enterprise level hardware supportSimX License with on site installation/training, on site support visits, unlimited phone/internet/chat support
