Please read the Details section for information on how to bid on this opportunity Details Project Description: Demolition of existing funeral home structure. Construction of new 7-story building with 5 stories of Type III-A Construction over 2 stories of Type I-A Construction. Building to accommodate 98 affordable senior housing units, a ground floor business-tenant, building management office space, community space, laundry room, and other support spaces. Outdoor spaces include residential terrace at the seventh floor, urban farm terrace at the seventh floor, and a landscaped rear yard. Scope of Work: Special Inspections, as prescribed in SFBC Sec. 1704. Special Inspection duties include, but are not limited to: • Concrete (Placement & sampling). • Bolts installed in concrete. • Reinforcing steel and prestressing tendons. • A. Periodic visual inspection o Single pass fillet welds 5/16" or smaller o Steel deck o Stair and railing systems • B. Continuous visual inspection and NDT o All

other welding (NDT exception: Fillet weld) • Shotcrete • Bolts Installed in existing concrete or masonry: o Concrete o Pull/torque tests • Shear walls and floor systems used as shear diaphragms • Structural observation per Sec. 1704.6 for the following: o Concrete construction o Foundations o Wood framing o Steel framing The consultant will specify the number of inspections.
