Meeting Information Pre-Bid Meeting No Online Q&A Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 04/22/2024 10:00 AM (PDT) Contact Information Contact Info Amanda Hamilton 951-270-5633 ahamilton@ci.norco.ca.us Bids to Amanda Hamilton Owner's Agent Amanda Hamilton Description Scope of Services The City of Norco is requesting proposals from qualified professional firms with proven experience to conduct Architecture Design Services and provide a PS&E Package for a replacement HVAC System at Norco Fire Station 47 - 3902 Hillside Avenue, Norco, CA 92860. Fire Station 47 was built in 2004 and is 16,600 square feet. The building is in daily operational use and the existing HVAC system is 20 years old. The Fire Station is a wood framed building that incorporates an administrative section along with an Emergency Operation Center. Related to the design proposal, proposers should include the cost of ducting air balancing as part of the design costs to ensure quality in design. Plans shall be stamped by a State of California Licensed Architect along with a State of California Registered Professional Engineer. Other Details Task 1: PS&E Package for Fire Station 47 HVAC Replacement. Project tasks shall include but are not necessarily limited to the following: • Provide Plans and Specifications for the replacement HVAC System at Fire Station 47 • Bid Specification Package shall be ready to bid and fully completed by consultant • Cost Estimate for the proposed project • Provide the ducting and ac unit air balance testing documentation • Provide mechanical calculations • Site walks are required to verity existing ducting along with thermostat locations and replacements. • Kick-off meeting to discuss design parameters • Routine monthly update meetings Task 2: Plan Review and Approval Process Once the project plans and specifications are completed, the Facilities and Maintenance staff will submit the plans to the Norco Building Department. The Building Department will plan-check the plans but there may be corrections that the Building Official or Fire Inspector require. Project tasks 2 shall include but are not necessarily limited to the following: • Provide the Facilities and Maintenance Director with (3) 24”x36 plan set per each submittal to the Building Department • Provide the Facilities and Maintenance Director with a digital plan set per each submittal to the Building Department • Provide responses to bidders during bid process as the Engineer of Record or Architect on Record • Provide for the pick-up and drop-off of all plans related to plan submittals Notes The City of Norco will receive competitive proposals from consulting firms having specific experience and qualifications in the areas identified in this solicitation. Under competitive negotiation procedures, the terms of the service contract, the price of the service, the method of service delivery, and the conditions of performance are all negotiable. A negotiated contract will be awarded to the firm that best meets the requested needs and services at a reasonable price, not necessarily at the lowest price.
