Construct a new 4’ wide concrete path and steps to improve access to un-accessible areas of the facility property and provide an exercise loop for site employees. Demolish parts of the existing automatic irrigation system and replace with more efficient low-flow bubblers and spray heads. This will reduce surface water runoff and soil erosion. Construct new non-structural modular unit retaining walls in the landscape to correct surface erosion problems and improve the conditions for new hillside plantings. Cover all landscape beds with 2 inches of crushed granite or sandstone rock mulch to stabilize slope soils, protect against erosion, and improve soil and plant health. Construct new cheek walls along the concrete path and steps to detain possible eroded soils and protect against draining into surface concrete ditches. Provide traffic control in compliance with the governing agencies, prepare traffic control plans, and obtain traffic control permits, as necessary.
