Sole Source Notice of Intent(FAR Part 13 ¿ Simplified Acquisition Procedures)In accordance with FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), on behalf of FWS National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) intends to award a sole source action to John Wiley & Sons, Inc.NCTC is needing to continue its subscription purchase of proprietary scientific journal content from Wiley & Sons, Inc. for an annual subscription to, and licensing for the core science collection of journals specifically curated for the USFWS (and requested by its field offices), delivered via web-based interface that allows for easy searching. Only one authorized seller can provide this specific collection of high quality, proprietary journals focused on ecology, plant sciences, zoology, entomology, biodiversity conservation, and other natural and environmental sciences. In addition, this is the only authorized seller of the American Fisheries Society publications

and conference proceedings. Wiley & Sons is the sole source provider. In the past, we have purchased this licensing through a different publisher, but the American Fisheries Society shifted to this publisher 2 years ago and is now the only source authorized to sell its publicationsThis is not a solicitation for competitive proposal. No solicitation document is available. All responsible sources that have determined that they can provide the same products or services may submit product information and a capabilities statement that speaks to the products/services the US Fish and Wildlife Services are seeking in this proposed acquisition.
