The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Wyatt Technology Corporation, Santa Barbara, California to procure a 12 month Silver Service agreement on light scattering equipment used for molecular characterizations; to include preventative maintenance and emergency services.
The service maintenance agreement will support the proper maintenance and function of multiple Lab sections for NIH. NIAID, Laboratory of Malaria Immunology and Vaccinology (LMIV). The light scattering equipment includes; QTY-2 HELEOS II Ambient systems, QTY-2 OPTILAB TrEX systems, QTY-3 QELS systems, and QTY-1 UDAWN system. Equipment is located in buildings that require security clearances.
Place of Performance is Rockville, MD 20852.
The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 1901 (e )(2) as implemented by FAR 13.601-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. by 1:00 pm eastern standard time Friday, December 29, 2017. All responses received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
