Notice of Intent to Sole Source This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source the following requirement. Pevco Preventive Maintenance and Repair of the Pneumatic Tube system, located at the Baltimore VAMC Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT). Contracting Officers may solicit from only one source if the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization). This is not a request for proposals. This notice does not represent a commitment by the government to pay for costs incurred from the preparation and/or submission of data in response to this notice. Written responses to this Notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. Information received in response to this Notice will be considered solely for the purpose of
determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. Description: The Baltimore VAMC require Preventive Maintenance and Repairs of its pneumatic tube system. The Vendor shall be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the tube delivery system and its related tube components which shall include, but not limited to test runs, lubrication, tube replacements, clean, adjust, and any other requirement necessary to maintain the ongoing support of the pneumatic tube system. Scope of Work: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, parts, equipment, tools, material and labor for the Pevco Pneumatic Tube Delivery System at the VAMC Baltimore facility Maintenance: Inspect carrier, bin sensor, and CID Tighten hardware and wiring Clean receive bin, dispatch arm, and control panel Maintain diverter tray, lubricate chain, and face plate Examine brakes and adjust as needed Inspect vacuum and pressure sensors Check seals and replace when necessary Clean cage, face plate air shifter and lubricate the chain See attached Documents: Pevoc Proprietary Letter
