Department of Veterans intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price order to a single source, 1st American Medical Distributors, LLC. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the Government. The Government will consider responses received by the closing date of this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a full and open competitive procurement or a small business set aside competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this announcement. If the Government decides to compete this requirement, a synopsis shall be issued utilizing the combined synopsis/solicitation procedure identified in FAR 12.603. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. POTENTIAL SOURCES

Nature and/or Description of the Requirement: The requirement is to replace (18) Continuous Cardiac Output (CCO) units Hemosphere Advanced Monitoring Systems by Edwards Lifesciences sold by their authorized distributor 1st American Medical Distributors, LLC. These specialty physiological monitoring systems are used during cardiac-thoracic surgery procedures and in post-Op ICU recovery. The advanced hemodynamic monitoring features provide additional and unique critical parameters not available on traditional physiological monitoring systems. The existing units have reached end of life. Training, set-up, and other Installation activities shall be performed by the vendor in the ICU, Anesthesia, and Cardiology areas. The MVAHCS is seeking a Firm-Fixed Price brand name only contract.
