USCG Special Missions Training Center (SMTC) aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune has a requirement to purchase one flatbed utility trailer that is capable of mounting four tripods in single file to support the firing of mounted automatic weapons in support of standardized range training to prevent injury while increasing efficiency. Currently the Tactical Bow Gunner Course utilizes 04 weapons mounts for firing the M240B at the land range while firing Phase III of the Machine Gun Boat Course. These mounts are securely bolted to large pieces of steal that require students and staff to hand carry them from the utility trailer, which they are transported in, to the actual firing line. This practice has resulted in significant injury in the past to students enrolled in the course. Resulting in them being disenrolled from training and placed on light duty for extended periods of time while recovering from the injury. This has led to the decision to have a utility flatbed trailer built to
provide a standardized and stable Mounted Automatic Weapons (MAW) firing platform.Trailer Specifics:            2.1.1 - 10,000 LB GVWR, 83 inches W by 22 feet L            2.1.2 - Dual axle with 6 bolt hubs            2.1.3 - Brakes on each wheel with breakaway kit            2.1.4 - White mod wheel with ST225/75R15C radial tire            2.1.5 - Heavy duty tread plate fenders            2.1.6 - Hammer blow 2-5/16" ball coupler            2.1.7 - Chain basket in tongue            2.1.8 - Set back top wind 12K jack with flat foot            2.1.9 - Modular weather tight wiring harness            2.1.10 - Sealed break lights and running lights2.1.11 - 3" Square tube top railing, 30" from floor on 3 sides2.1.12 - 2" Square tube middle railing 15" from the floor and half way across the back, left rear of    trailer2.1.13 - Stake pockets and rub rail2.1.14 - Full step up across the back of the entire trailer for access2.1.15 - 3/8" Steel plate floor2.1.16 - Non-slip liner coating applied to floor area2.1.17 - 7K Top wind leveling jacks on all four corners2.1.18 - Spare tire bracket with spare tire2.1.19 - Toolbox with stainless steel key lock set2.1.20 - Baked on mirror black powder coat2.1.21 - Gun mount 1/2” Steel plate reinforcement; 36” wide; offset to the left - drivers side equivalent facing forward, full length of deck.
