The purpose of Amendment 0001 is to make changes to the RFQ as listed below:(a) The date/time for quote submission has been extended FROM: January 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM EST TO: January 18, 2023 at 4:00 PM EST.(b) Refer to the attached Q&A Matrix for answers to questions submitted by industry. ********************************************The Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Countermeasures Directorate, Office of Physical Security Programs, Defensive Equipment and Armored Vehicle Division (DS/C/PSP/DEAV) is seeking an industry partner to conduct research and analysis on DEAV’s standard door armoring procedure, and• Analyze the effectiveness of single vs dual-layer door armor on production armored vehicles, specifically in vehicle passenger doors.• Establish possible weight savings through armor reduction while maintaining threat protection level.The objective of this requirement is to evaluate the effectiveness of a single layer armor system and compare its performance to the two-layer system required by the Department of State Armored Vehicle Specification.
