Scope of Work Furnish, install, and test new filter media and gravel as indicated and specified. Filter media shall be provided for five (5) filters with an area of 400 square feet each. The filters shall consist 42 inches of filter media and 12” of gravel, as indicated in PRODUCTS.
Filter media and support gravel shall be provided by
Xylem Water Solutions Zelienople LLC or approved equal.
The Contractor shall provide General construction services for water and wastewater services for the rehabilitation or repairs of existing water and wastewater facilities within the City of Port St. Lucie’s Utility Systems throughout the life of the contract. The services to be provided on an as needed and requested basis. As projects become available the Project Manager shall request a proposal which shall consist of written documentation of the work necessary, per plans, specification and/or as directed by PSLUSD staff. Once the proposal is approved, a purchase order will be issued. The Request for Proposal may be in the form of an email from department staff to the Contractor.
The PSLUSD anticipates multiple projects throughout the life of the contract and each project will have its own scope of work associated with it. The Contractor shall provide a quote for the work requested based on the time & material pricing provided by this contract, prior to commencement of work. No work shall commence until the Contractor has received a purchase order as “Notice to Proceed”.
The scope of work may include, but is not limited to, the following types of work:
• Emergency response
• Filter media replacement
• Clarifier restoration
• Scrubber/Degasifies media replacement
• Replacement of Flow Meters
• Cleaning of Aeration Basins
• Above ground and underground piping and valve replacement/modifications for pipe sizes ranging from 6” to 30” in size
• Accelerator restoration
• Odor Controls System repairs
• Fiberglass repair work
• Concrete restoration
• Industrial coatings
• Installation and replacement of pumps, slide gates, blowers, mixers, aeration diffusers, grinders, chemical feed equipment, and other water/wastewater related processes.
Any items not listed above, will be quoted on an as needed basis.
