Structural Engineering and Architectual Services

Harrison Township is seeking a qualified structural engineer or architect to provide structural inspections and reports on buildings found to be abandoned and deteriorating to substantiate the structural conditions of the buildings. These reports will be used by the Township Development Department Staff and Fire Chief to support submission of properties to the Board of Trustees for declaration of dangerous conditions which shall be remediated by securance, repair, or demolition by order of the Harrison Township Board of Trustees. A Structural Engineer’s or Architect’s report will be invaluable information for the Board to consider when determining the order. The township has a significant inventory of abandoned and deteriorating properties, and the Board has directed Development Department staff to process and remediate as many properties as possible in Fiscal Year
