Membership in an English Language Proficiency Comprehensive Assessment Consortium

Jun 25, 2018 7:54 pm DoDEA requires a membership in an English Language Development Comprehensive Assessment Consortium that includes a voting privilege as a member to participate in policy decisions for ELs. DoDEA requires the membership to do the following: Afford DoDEA above-school level and school-level educators the opportunity to enhance their understanding of the relationship between English language development and the CCRS, as they participate in education leader work groups, technical work groups, review committees, and other forms of informal and formal collaboration. Provide a comprehensive and authentic assessment that (1) measures English language proficiency by way of DoDEA CCRS and corollary products and services and (2) aligns with DoDEA's following needs:
1) Assessment delivery system.
2) Assessment scoring and reporting services.
3) Professional learning.
4) Support services.
5) Communication resources.
Begin in the base year with the option to purchase English language proficiency assessments based on the determined style, type, and number of students to be assessed by grade level, per DoDEA policy. Provide K-12 ESOL proficiency assessments in (1) online and paper/pencil and (2) alternate assessment versions.
