The Department of Motor Vehicles is looking for approximately two (2) acres of land in the City of Los Angeles. It is preferable that the land be paved, without obstructions such as lighting, parking bumpers or curbing.
Buildings submitted must: 1) Be Asbestos Hazard-free upon occupancy; 2) Accommodate State plans, specifications, seismic safety, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable codes (California Building Code & Title 24); 3) Be close to public transportation; and 4) Comply with Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements. The State of California will, where cost effective, give preference to those buildings which demonstrate LEED or Energy Star compliance. Please refer to
