Artillery (PA-55 and PA-71/A) Fiber Containers (Market Survey)

The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Rock Island, Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL 61299-6000, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems, located at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey anticipates awarding on or about October 31, 2022, a competitive Small Business Set-Aside, Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity single-award contract with six (6) ordering periods (four months each) utilizing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) approach, per FAR 14, for the PA-55 and PA-71/A Fiber Containers for 105mm Artillery Cartridges.The PA-55 Fiber Container provides packaging for the 105mm M1 High Explosive  Cartridge. The PA-71/A Fiber Container provides packaging for the 105mm PGU-43/B Training and Practice Cartridge, the PGU-44/B HE Cartridge and the PGU-45/B High Fragmentation  Cartridge.The estimated quantities for this two (2) year contract are 57,296 PA-55 Fiber Containers and 209,152 PA-71/A Fiber Containers. The associated North American Industry Classification System Code for the PA-55 and PA-71/A Fiber Containers is 332219.The IFB will be available electronically in accordance with FAR 5.2 at the following internet address: https://sam.gov/ on or about August 19,2022.
