US GOVERNMENT SEEKS SOURCES FOR LEASED RETAIL AND RELATED SPACEThe U.S. Government currently occupies retail/off ice space in a shopping center under lease in Alexandria, Louisiana, that will be expiring. The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous and is seeking to lease approximately 4,400 gross square feetof existing Class A or B retail space, in Alexandria, Louisiana, specifically in state zip code 71303. In making this determination, theGovernment will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government’srequirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements andtelecommunication infrastructure and non-productive agency downtime.The ideal space would include the following: building specifications in compliance with all federal, state and local ordinances; forceprotection standards in compliance with Department of Defense’s Unified Facility Criteria; outfitted with either designated or open parking. An initial fully serviced five year lease is intended.
