IntroductionThe Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) is where local government leaders in the Sacramento region come together to advance the goals of economic prosperity, connected communities, and vibrant places. SACOG works with its 28 member cities and counties to solve challenges that are too big for any one jurisdiction to solve on its own. A staff of 60 is guided by a board of elected officials from each city and county. SACOG plays a central role in transportation infrastructure planning and funding assistance for cities, counties, transit operators, and other entities responsible for providing for the travel needs of the region's residents.1.1. SummaryModern IT managers are asked to wear an array of hats; infrastructure, cloud software, security, data management, network, and beyond. As technology continues to advance so does the opportunity of specialization within each of these

buckets. In order to keep up with that rapid pace, SACOG is seeking one or more qualified vendor(s)/contractor(s) to provide a wide range of IT services. The services would include:support end users remotely and on-site (as needed)provide ongoing network securitynetwork administrationsidentify and manage IT system vulnerabilities and risksmaintain the network and recommend changes to hardware, systems, policies, and processes, as neededensure backup systems, security patches, and virus and malware updates occurmanage and schedule hardware replacement, including providing hardware via third party vendors or resellers and deploying to staffconsult and advise on how technology can help SACOG meet its operational goals Proposals will be evaluated based upon best value, per our Evaluation Criteria. Cost Proposals should include annual rates/costs for a three (3) year agreement, with option to extend it for 2 additional years, up to five (5) years total.1.2. BackgroundCurrently, SACOG contracts with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) to perform most of its IT services. With the growing complexity of IT and the cost-benefit of staff performing work versus outsourcing it, SACOG would like to continue to outsource its IT needs to an MSP. 1.3.
