2022-06, dated May 01, 2022.The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334515 – Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals, which has a small business size standard of 750 Employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation is a Full and Open competition.  Defense Priorities and Allocations Systems (DPAS) and assigned rating is not applicable to this request for quote (RFQ).Offerors must submit all questions concerning this solicitation in writing, via email, to the Contract Specialist, Clifford Nicholson at clifford.nicholson@nist.gov and Contracting Officer, Lia Arthofer at lia.arthofer@nist.gov.  Questions should be received no later than five (5) calendar days after the issuance date of this solicitation. Even if provided in other form, the question responses included in the amendment to the solicitation will govern performance of the contract.Background/Scope:The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Communications Technology Laboratory (CTL)/Radio Frequency Technology Division has a requirement to produce broadband electrical calibration artifacts as part of its calibration service for scattering parameter traceability up to 18 GHz.  Precision manufactured calibration artifacts are required to maintain accurate traceable calibrations for internal and external customers.Development in coaxial connector technology has been made allowing production of higher precision airline calibration artifacts in the Type N connector type. To calibrate the scattering parameters of passive microwave electronics to 18 GHz, a metrology grade Type N airline kit is required.This shall be provided in accordance with the Requirements/Specifications documentation included herein.All offerors shall provide a firm fixed price (FFP) quotation for the following line item: (All equipment must be new.
