WSP 2023 Sewer, Lagoon Upgrades, Contract No. 23-1988-22

The City of New Roads, Louisiana will receive separate sealed Bids for the WSP 2023 Sewer; Lagoon Upgrades; Contract No.: 23-1988-22. The work consists of: The rehabilitation of the sewer pump station at the City of New Roads lagoons, as described in the Bidding Documents. Work consists of replacing in kind, and as indicated, pumps, control panels, the control room roof, a motorized hoist, 4 lagoon aerators, handrail, adding a limestone topcoat to the site, building a discharge ramp to the lagoon, and other work as described. The City of New Roads will receive Bids until 2:00 PM local time, May 23, 2024, at 211 Main Street, City of New Roads, LA 70760. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the specified closing time. The outside of the Bid envelope shall be marked with the project title, name and address of the Bidder and current Contractor’s license number. Bidding Documents may be examined at the following

Printed copies are not available from the Designer or Owner but arrangements can be made to obtain them through most reprographic firms at the plan holders costs. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. A site visit by bidders is recommended before submitting a bid. The work is subject to compliance with U.S. Department of Treasury Coronavirus State Fiscal Recover Fund requirements, as described in the bidding documents. The Prime Bidder must be a licensed contractor in good standing in the State of Louisiana holding a Commercial License in Heavy Construction or Municipal and Public Works Construction. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled on-site at 9:30 am local time on May 7, 2024. Attendees shall meet at the New Roads Lagoon pump station at the end of West St. at the specified time. All in attendance will be required to sign a sign-in sheet. Since Federal funds are to be used on this project, Bidders are reminded that per federal law, all regulations and requirements of, but not limited to, 2 CFR 200.317 – 200.327 apply. This includes the additional good faith efforts to solicit minority owned, women owned, and disadvantaged owned businesses. Bidders are encouraged to thoroughly review Article 19.00 of Section 00 73 00 Supplementary Conditions within the Project Manual and to follow any and all federal requirements. The City of New Roads reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids.
