National Emergency Medical Services Information System

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is assessing the National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS) infrastructure and operational models for future improvements to technology and standardizing the collection, storage, sharing, and analysis of emergency medical services (EMS) data. To complete the assessment, NHTSA will evaluate all aspects of the current system and complete an evaluation of industry capability using this Request for Information (RFI).
