The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) Chief Procurement Office intends to negotiate with Expedition Communications, located in Carlsbad, CA on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source, for providing Satellite communications for support to a Compact Rapid Deployable. Satellite capacity to the Compact Rapid Deployable for a twelve (12) month service plan to include 4 Terabytes (TB) of data; First Responder priority service with no throttling or cancellation compatible with FirstNet Compact Rapid Deployable.The NAICS Code is 517410 – Satellite Telecommunications, with a Small Business Size Standard of $35M. FirstNet anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price contract to Expedition Communications for this requirement. Interested parties who can demonstrate they could satisfy the requirements listed above for FirstNet must clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before
the response date for this notice. Please limit responses to five (5) pages or less. Responses should include the following information: 1. Name of company that will provide product. 2. Name of company that will manufacture the product. 3. Spec sheets and examples of products that meet the specifications. 4. Typical lead time to deliver the product after receipt of order. 5. Any other relevant information that is not listed above which the Government should consider in developing our minimum specifications and finalizing our market research. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. If competitive procedures are not used it is estimated that an award will be issued by 09/14/2021. All responses to this notice of intent must be submitted so that they are received at Kimberly.Luke@firstnet.gov no later than 10:00 am ET 09/07/2021.
