The University’s vertical fleet includes traction and hydraulic passenger and freight elevators, dumbwaiters, chairlifts, stage lifts, dock lifts, stair glides, escalators from varied manufacturers and ages. See Exhibit B - Pricing Proposal in Buyer Attachments for list of University's vertical transportation fleet. Maintenance shall include all labor,
materials, supplies, tools, supervision, payment and performance bonds (if applicable), insurance coverage and other related items or conditions, on or near the main campus of the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, including in those locations which are within 25 miles of the main campus, and all work shall be in accordance with the requirements contained herein, and recommendations of the elevator equipment manufacturers, as well as all State and Federal Laws and Regulations. The specifications contained herein are intended to describe the complete maintenance requirements, including parts replacements, adjustments, service, maintenance, repairs, and testing of all the vertical transportation systems in the listed premises. The maintenance performed shall not be necessarily limited to the coverage listed in these specifications but shall include all work required to fully keep the equipment clean, reliable, trouble free, operating in quiet condition, operating smoothly, and in "like new" condition, at all times and operating safely during the entire term of the agreement. 1.2 Scope of Services See Exhibit A in Buyer Attachments. 1.3 Term of Agreement The term of this Agreement will be for an initial period of five (5) years, with an option to renew based on satisfactory performance and the written approval of both parties for up to two (2) additional five (5) year periods. 1.4 Coverage and Participation The intended coverage of this ITN and any Agreement resulting from this solicitation is as stated in the Scope of Work, but should a need arise, other Departments at the University of Florida may also utilize the agreement. With the consent and agreement of the Successful Vendor, the other state universities, community colleges, district school boards, other educational institutions, and other governmental agencies, may assess and access an Agreement resulting from this solicitation issued and administered by the University of Florida. The University reserves the right to add and/or delete elements, or to change any element of the coverage and participation at any time without prior notification and without any liability of any kind or amount. 1.5 University Demographics The University of Florida is a major public land-grant research university.
