LEAD OPERATOR/WASTEWATER LAB TECHNICIAN Village of Kewaskum, WI The Village of Kewaskum Wastewater Treatment Plant is seeking applications for the position of Lead Plant Operator. Duties include being responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of the treatment plant/collection system along with operating the plant within the DNR permit and regulations. The treatment plant includes the processes of activated sludge, primary settling, laboratory, phosphorus removal, and disinfection. The Village Board has defined this as a leadership position that supervises the Plant Operator/Lab Technician. The hired individual will be required to have the DNR Advanced licenses or obtain them within a period acceptable to the DNR. Applicants should have a CDL with air brakes and tanker endorsements or the ability to obtain one for the position within 3 months of employment. Backgrounds in treatment operations, laboratory work, pump maintenance, lift station and collection systems along with computer skills is desired. Working on weekends, holidays, in confined spaces, responding to emergency calls and assisting the Public Works Department when appropriate are required. Wages range from $26.08/hour - $30.58/hour depending on qualifications. Final candidate should anticipate a back-ground check and pass a drug test.
