Asbestos Flooring Abatement & Carpet Removal Services

Contractor shall provide CAL FIRE Training Center (CFTC) Asbestos Flooring Abatement and Carpet Removal Services at their 200, 300, 400 and 500 dormitory wings (to be completed in four (4) phases) located at 4501 State Highway 104, Ione, CA 95640.

Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes and fees to remove approximately 9,587 square feet (sf) of carpet, carpet glue, nine (9) inch by nine (9) inch existing asbestos tile, black glue mastic and 1,818 linear feet of top set rubber trim.

It is known from previous work done in the building that there is asbestos present. No survey report will be provided to the Contractor from CAL FIRE. If applicable, utilization of a low odor mastic remover chemical is required, followed by full containment. Asbestos is in the black mastic as well as the tiles. Scraping down to the concrete must be done for complete removal, or within safe standards. The Three-Dimensional (3-D) method will not be permitted, as this method will not achieve the goals of the project.
