The protection and sustainability of environmental ecosystems is a priority for the City. The City’s Erosion & Sediment Control (ESC) Permit now requires development sites to provide independent real-time monitoring systems. Real-time water quality monitoring and control facilities are intended to ensure
that water treatment systems in use during development are discharging water that complies with the ESC Permit and that any non-compliant water is recirculated for additional treatment before discharge. Real-time water quality monitoring systems should utilize “always-connected”, Internet-of-Things (IoT) sensors to capture continuous data. Additional benefits of leveraging scalable IoT solutions is the ability for integration into other smart cities platforms, which can enable cost savings, safety, and efficiencies. The purpose of this Request for Pre-Qualification (RFQ) is to solicit and evaluate the capabilities, experience, track records, resources and creativity of Respondents who’s qualifications meet or exceeds the City’s requirements and expectations for Real-Time Water Quality Monitoring Services. The City intends to maintain a list of prequalified Contractors for a three (3) year term that applicable ESC Permit applicants can draw upon for real-time water quality monitoring systems. The City reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to re-open the pre-qualification process at any time during the term to allow new contractors to provide a submission.
