Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) programs at Dallas center will use this equipment for fundamental and applied research across different cross-cutting domains, including engineering, breeding, physiology, and pathology. High- throughput phenotyping for CEA breeding programs to
collect and process large datasets collected at high temporal resolution will be achieved using this equipment. This will speed up the process to develop and identify new cultivars suitable for production in CEA. Additionally, autonomous growing without human involvement to reduce food safety concerns and reduce labor dependence will also be achieved with a robotic system. The equipment will enable the team to develop/modify new software and hardware for the agricultural environment. Some of the key tasks that the team aim to address using this equipment include autonomous crop monitoring, yield mapping, harvesting, transplanting, spraying, and pruning. Bidders shall offer a unit price response for each line item in this bid. Please read the terms and conditions carefully.
