2020 INSTALLATION AND MISSION SUPPORT WEAPONS AND TACTICS CONFERENCE INDUSTRY DAY (APRIL 7, 2020)Solicitation Name:  2020 Installation and Mission Support Weapons and Tactics Conference Industry Day Solicitation Number:  I-WEPTAC_2020_INDUSTRY_DAY Agency: Department of the Air ForceOffice: Air Force Materiel CommandLocation: AFIMSC/Joint Base San Antonio Lackland, TexasNotice End Date: April 7, 2020                                                                                                                                                          PurposeThe Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC) Commander will host the fourth Annual Installation and Mission Support Weapons and Tactics Conference (I-WEPTAC) Conference April 6-8, 2020.  This conference will focus on the energy and creativity of our young warfighters on the toughest challenges the Air Force is facing in combat support.  The theme of the 2020 I-WEPTAC is “Targeted Agile Combat Support…Offsetting
Risk.”  This conference will bring together hundreds of warfighters from the Air Force to discuss current and future issues, and provide solutions to potential topic/mission scenarios.   The culminating event will be the Final Outbrief that will be presented to the over 50 General Officers and Senior Executive Service Civilians from 1-star to 4-star ranks.  In addition, many of the Mission Support Group Commanders and Senior Enlisted Leaders form all Active Duty Air Force Bases will be in attendance along with several hundred attendees from the local Installation and Mission Support Center Staff.  A highlight of the conference activities is the chance for these attendees to engage with industry during the 7 April 2020 Industry Day events.MissionThe mission of AFIMSC is to deliver globally integrated combat support and shape the foundation of America’s Air, Space, and Cyberspace power.  AFIMSC is one team around the globe revolutionizing combat support.  The AFIMSC cross-functional team provides globally integrated management, resourcing and combat support operations for Airman and family services, base communications, chaplain, civil engineering, contracting, logistics readiness, public affairs, security forces and financial management programs. The topics that will be presented during the conference are: 1.    Installation Air Base Air Defense2.    Passive Defense Tactics, Techniques and Procedures3.    Right Size the Foundation: Optimize Base Operating Support for the Air Force we need4.    Leveraging Contracting and Logistics to Enable Agile OperationsRegistration ProceduresAFIMSC is looking for contractors who provide services to fulfill the mission of AFIMSC to participate in the Industry Day and social on April 7, 2020.  Exhibit space is limited.  There are instructions to exhibitors on the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) registration website.  Please read and follow these instructions.  The point of contact for this Industry Day is Bonnie Hopke and she can be reached at 210-262-1662 or b.hopke@fpm-remediations.com.Registration website is: http://www.cvent.com/d/gT_2FEv4WkeLB2LT2pCoBA/1xp4/P1    AFIMSC will be conducting Vendor-Government Networking on 7 April from 11:00 am -4:00 pm.  AFIMSC will conduct 15 minute, one-on-one sessions with vendors to discuss AFIMSC future requirements and to receive feedback.  These sessions are open to all industries regardless of size to highlight technologies and capabilities.  Air Force representatives from in the following sectors will be in attendance: construction, facility/infrastructure maintenance, environmental, law enforcement, security, communications, lodging, food services, recreation, contracting and additional products and services.  Sign-up for the one-on-one sessions will begin at 8:00 am on 7 April.  Networking registration is on a first come/first served basis.  For information on the Networking event please contact Lt Col Gene Smith at gene.smith.2@us.af.mil.Please note the AFIMSC Vendor-Government Networking and the SAME Industry Day are two separate events.  Both the AFIMSC Industry Briefing and the SAME Industry Day are being held in Hangar 1610 in the Port of San Antonio area (off base).  The physical address is 303 S.
