SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION/PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTPRE-SOLICITATION NOTICEThis is a synopsis of a proposed contract action / pre-solicitation notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 5.207, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the public announcement of a pre-solicitation notice (including intent to issue a sole source award to Integrated Solutions and Services, CAGE: 1WEP4, to provide Classified Document Destruction and Equipment Maintenance Services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD)); it is not a solicitation.NSWC PHD is anticipating to issue a sole source request for quotation in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), soliciting from a single source, under a Small Business (SB) set aside. Contracting Office Address: NSWC PHD 4363 Missile Way Port Hueneme, CA 93043Duration of Contract Period: Six-month base period plus two three-month option periods. Description of Services: Document Destruction Support Services are provided to all departments, offices, and staff of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), Port Hueneme, CA. The contractor will provide document support services to pick-up and destroy classified Secret and Confidential, sensitive government documents and electronic media and provide maintenance service for the equipment listed in the PWS utilized to destroy government documents. Pick-up and maintenance service will be provided at the NSWC PHD campus and other government activities within the Port Hueneme, Pt Mugu and San Diego areas. Items will be destroyed at the Hammermill Material Destruction Facility. The contractor will work with Code 10S1 Command Security Division, who is responsible for documentation, data entry, tracking, report generation of historical data and administrative support to pick-up, secure, and destroy government documents at NSWC PHD.The determination not to compete the contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide these services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source Award.
