In this Request for Proposal ("RFP") the Massachusetts Legislature has directed the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) to conduct a study of the feasibility of passenger rail service from Boston to Greenfield and North Adams (the corridor known as the Northern Tier), with the speed, frequency, and reliability necessary to be a competitive option for travel along this corridor.
