The University awarded a contract for J5 Medijet Printer w/Ultra Realism.
J5 Medijet 3D printer to include ultra realism startup package which includes accessories, materials, installation and diamond care level warranty.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for periodicals, books, subscriptions, database licenses, and other publications procured for use by a university library or academic department, except for expenditures related to procuring textbooks for student use or materials for resale or rental. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(5)) 3D printer for medical applications such as anatomical models, biocompatible parts and more to be used as a teaching aid with medical residents and students in patient education, pre-surgical patient treatment planning, consultation and model production.
