6000000895Project-Title:Flat Mowing Services, Homestead Field Station, Miami-Dade County, FLResponses Due:6/12/2018 @ 2:30 P.M.Description:This Solicitation is for a three (3) year work order contract with two (2) one-year renewal options for commercial flat mowing services. Work consists of cyclical flat mowing and trimming of approximately 10,138 acres of canal right-of-ways and 312 access gates annually, in an estimated four (4) to six (6) mowing cycles, of canal embankments of various widths. This includes, but is not limited to, canal embankments, grassed levees, berms, access roads of various widths, and around irrigation pipes, and water control structures using conventional high production, large and small machine mowing and trimming equipment within the Homestead Field Station service area. The successful Respondent shall maintain the continuous use of a minimum of three (3) tractors; 4x2 or 4x4, ranging from a minimum of 85hp to a

maximum of 125hp; and three (3) bat wing mowers ranging from a minimum of 15' to a maximum of 20' throughout the life of the Contract. HP is defined as engine horse power as verified by the Manufacturer's specification; aka crank or brake horse power. The District shall verify that Respondents with multiple District mowing contracts maintain sufficient equipment to perform all services.A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE (CONFERENCE) & SITE VISIT will be held on May 31, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Homestead Field Station Main Conference Room, located at 2195 NE 8th Street, Homestead, Florida. All Respondents who wish to respond to this Solicitation must be present and on time at the Conference and Site Visit. Bids will not be accepted from Respondents who either did not attend the Conference and Site Visit or who are more than fifteen (15) minutes late.THE DISTRICT WILL NOT ADMIT ANY RESPONDENTS AFTER 10:15 A.M.Due to the importance of all Respondents having a clear understanding of the scope of work and requirements of this Solicitation, attendance at this Conference and Site Visit by a representative of each Prime Respondent shall be a prerequisite for submitting a bid. A Respondent's failure to be present and on-time for the Conference and Site Visit will result in the District declaring a submitted bid as non-responsive.A Respondent's attendance at the Conference and Site Visit shall be evidenced by its representative's signature on both the District's Pre-Bid Conference Sign-In-Sheet and the Site Visit Sign-Out Sheet. Any bid received from Respondents who did not attend the Conference and Site Visit will be returned unopened.Work site visits will immediately follow the Conference and may include travel through rough terrain and remote and heavy vegetative areas. Transportation to the Conference and Site Visit shall be the responsibility of the Respondent.
