The County is seeking qualified “Design-Build Contractors” to provide services for renovations to the County Detention

Center. The scope of the project includes renovations to specific areas of the existing 32,000 gsf facility as well the addition of a Sally Port. The Affected project area will be approximately 12,100 sf and will include but not be limited to the following: Reconfiguring existing space to provide new male & female holding areas, a new infirmary, isolation treatment room, ADA restrooms, Women’s segregation area, Program area, renovating and updating the control tower, and installing a new roof over the recreation area. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials for the scope of work identified in the RFP, bridging documents and in accordance with Federal and State guidelines. Proposals shall be presented under sealed cover with the project name and contract number clearly stated on the outside of the envelope or box along with proposal date and time. The proposals will be received by the County Administration, attention Jeremy Goldman Room 123 in the County Courthouse, 109 Market Street, Denton, Maryland 21629 until 3:00 PM local time, on August 16, 2022, at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud. Any proposals received after said time will be returned unopened. The successful proposer must post Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract price upon execution of the contract.RFP DOCUMENTS will be available at no charge in PDF format from Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., paper copies may be examined at no cost at the DBF office located at 601 East Main Street, Suite 100, Salisbury, Maryland 21804. A Pre-Proposal Meeting to be held at 1:00 PM on July 26, 2022 at the Caroline County Public Library, 100 Market Street, Denton, Maryland 21629; attendance at this meeting is mandatory in order to submit a proposal. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the proposals from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days’ notice to those proposers receiving plans. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
