Notice of Intent to Award Brand Name - Urodynamic System

Notice Type: Special NoticeNotice of Proposed Contract ActionThis is a notice of intent to award a brand name contract. The award is to be a Firm-Fixed Price contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), “Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.” The contracting officer has determined that only one brand Aquarius CT (LABORIE), is capable of meeting the requirement without the Government incurring significant additional costs.The Department of the Air Force has a requirement for an Aquarius CT Urodynamics system for diagnostic/treatment. This system is used in Urology Clinic as a diagnostic/treatment tool to determine how well the bladder is functioning and the impact of outlet factors on the bladder's ability to store and void urine.
