The services requested will include all operations related to the safe, legal, efficient removal and chipping of hazardous flammable fuels within the roadway easement identified in the project. Said services must meet all applicable Federal, State and/or Local regulations. The payment of prevailing wages is not required. In order to be awarded the contract, the Contractor shall possess an active Licensed Timber Operator’s License or a C-61/D-49 Tree Service Contractor license issued by the State of California Contractor’s Licensing Board. Registration with the Department of Industrial Relations is not required. The Knights Ferry Fuel Reduction Project encompasses several strategic roadways including Sonora Road, Cemetery Road, and Dent Street that provide primary access into the community of Knights Ferry. The entrance/exit points and parking area for the Knights Ferry Elementary School have been identified as a priority for the reduction of hazardous fuels adjacent to the roadways. The project goals are to reduce the fuel loading within the roadway easement through brushing and thinning work to improve public safety for the egress of evacuating civilians and ingress of responding emergency personnel. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, and incidentals to perform all work necessary within the project boundaries.
