USAGM would like to establish a 24/7 Voice of America (VOA) Over the Air (OTA) broadcast service covering Kampala,
Uganda and the surrounding metropolitan area. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential local qualified business concerns, capable of providing a licensed FM frequency between 88.0 MHz and 107.0 MHz in the Kampala, Uganda Metropolitan area.Since all of the work will be performed outside of the continental U.S., no set-asides or socioeconomic preference of any sort will be granted.Response Requirements: Interested offerors that meet the requirements above are encouraged to submit a Statement of Capability (SOC) in response to this notice. The SOC must include thefollowing:(a) Documentation demonstrating that offeror has an active licensed FM frequency in the Kampala, Uganda metropolitan area available for sale / lease including start date and expiration date of current license.(b) Documentation showing authorized transmitter power and location of licensed transmitter site.(c) Map or statement of licensed coverage area for FM frequency in the Kampala, Uganda Metropolitan area.(d) Years of company experience with FM broadcasting in Uganda.The SOC must contain a cover letter including the company name, local address, point of contact, telephone and e-mail address.
