OFFER #2024-10 - Announcement of Intent toLicense Real Estate - Telecommunications Real Estate Spaces

BACKGROUND The City of Sugar Land, in partnership with the private sector, seeks to provide its constituents with the greatest possible choices of the most cutting edge communications technologies available in the marketplace. In order to support such a vision, the City plans to make available every possible piece of real estate that the City holds in either fee or in trust for which access is not otherwise governed by federal or Texas law. The City has assembled a list of these sites in Exhibit 1 and shares in Exhibit 2 the governing real estate documents that will provide the offering party with a non-exclusive right to rent these locations. The City will also entertain offers for a master license agreement to rent any and all locations on non-exclusive basis for a set fee per location. Offering parties will be required to offer an opening offer per location, with an annual escalator and an acceptance of no colocations at the site absent entering into a colocation agreement with the City. Offering party receives only real estate rights in this process. Offering party will be required to obtain any and all required regulatory permits. Offering party is required to obtain any and all required permits and inspections. PROJECT DETAILS The City of Sugar Land is seeking proposals from qualified Firms regarding a License for a Firm to construct, maintain and operate wireless equipment on property owned by the City and not otherwise subject to access terms under federal or Texas law.
