Title: RFP 2024-01 Asphalt Resurfacing and New Road Construction Deadline: 4/23/2024 3:00 PM (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Status: Open Solicitation Number: 2024-01 Description: *Notice is hereby given that Okeechobee County, Florida, pursuant to Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, hereby issues this Request for Proposals for RFP 2024-01 Asphalt Resurfacing and New Road Construction. The work for which these bids are to be submitted consists of FDOT SP - 9.5 (Superpave) Asphalt Paving of existing shell and paved roadways. All work, material, installation, and maintenance of traffic shall comply with the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction 2013 (or latest edition). Section 300, 320, 327, 330, 334, 901, 902, 916, and 917 and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) (Latest Edition), as published by the Federal Highway Administration. *The Contractor is required to be an FDOT approved vendor. The contractor

shall supply all labor, equipment, material, and specialized machinery for the performance of the work as shown in the bid document specifications. *It is expected this Request for Proposal may result in on-demand contracts to meet the need for timely roadway specific services. *The RFP requirements, background, and other information relating to this RFP may be downloaded from the Okeechobee County website at: https://www.okeechobeecountyfl.gov/ under Bids and Proposals tab. Interested firms shall submit (1) original proposal and (4) copies for a total of (5) five, plus, 1 copy of the proposal package on a flash drive in PDF format, submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the proposer and titled: “RFP 2024-01 ASPHALT RESURFACING AND NEW ROAD CONSTRUCTION” no later than 3:00 p.m. (eastern standard time) on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Okeechobee County Historical Courthouse, 304 NW 2nd Street, Room 123, Okeechobee, FL 34972.
