Notice of Request for Bid
The City of Cedar Rapids will receive bids for one lot of four (4) vehicles for salvage only. The vehicles have been determined by the City of Cedar Rapids to be “totaled” vehicles.  None of the vehicles have titles, all vehicles will come with a junking certificate. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to request rebids; to waive irregularities and technicalities in bids; such as shall best serve the requirements and interests of the City.
 
All items are being sold “as is” with absolutely no warranty of any kind, including warranties of merchantability or use for a particular purpose, either expressed or implied.  The buyer shall be solely responsible for determining what

uses are safe, both to the buyer and to others, and shall be solely responsible for determining to its satisfaction the condition of the item.
 
Bidders will be responsible for reading and understanding all instructions, terms and conditions associated with this bid.
The City is not responsible for delays occasioned by any means of delivery employed by the Bidder. 
Bids will be opened
on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 3:00pm CST (our clock).  
Bids will be evaluated promptly after opening.  After an award is made, a bid tabulation summary will be sent to all companies who submitted a bid.  Bid results 
will not be given over the telephone or prior to award.  Bids may be withdrawn any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids; no bid may be modified or withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days thereafter.
